Kill Mosquitoes Before They're Old Enough to Bite
Summit Mosquito Dunks are America's #1 best-selling homeowner mosquito control product. These innovative floating dunks use BTI (Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis), a natural bacteria that is deadly to mosquito larvae but completely harmless to people, pets, fish, and wildlife.
Simply float a Mosquito Dunk in any standing water and watch it work. Each beige, donut-shaped dunk slowly releases BTI at the water's surface, killing mosquito larvae for 30 days or more. When mosquitoes lay eggs in treated water, the larvae hatch and eat the BTI bacteriastopping them before they become biting adults.
Approved for organic gardening by the USEPA and completely biodegradable, Mosquito Dunks provide safe, effective, long-lasting mosquito control without harmful chemicals.

How It Works:
Biological Control: Mosquito Dunks contain BTI (Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis), a naturally occurring soil bacterium. When mosquito larvae eat the BTI, it disrupts their digestive system, killing them before they can mature into biting adults.
Targeted Action: BTI is toxic only to mosquito, black fly, and fungus gnat larvae. It does not harm:
- Fish
- Birds
- Pets
- Wildlife
- Beneficial insects
- Plants
- Humans
Long-Lasting Protection: As the dunk slowly dissolves, it continuously releases BTI for 30 days or more, providing month-long protection with a single application.
Benefits:
Safe & Natural: Non-toxic biological control approved for use in organic farming operations. Safe for use around children, pets, fish, and wildlife.
Highly Effective: Kills mosquito larvae within hours and continues working for 30+ days. Prevents mosquitoes from ever becoming biting adults.
Easy to Use: Just float and forget. No mixing, spraying, or complicated application required.
Versatile: Works in any standing water regardless of depth. Can be broken into smaller pieces for small areas.
Environmentally Responsible: Completely biodegradable. Breaks down naturally without introducing poisons into the environment.
Cost-Effective: Each dunk lasts 30+ days and treats large areas. Six-pack provides 6 months of protection for most applications.
Special Uses:
Fungus Gnat Control: Excellent for ridding houseplants of pesky fungus gnats. Dissolve 1/4 dunk in water and use for watering plants.
Black Fly Control: Also effective against black fly larvae in streams and other flowing water.
Prevention: Use proactively in areas that collect water seasonally to prevent mosquito breeding before it starts.
Storage:
Unused and dry Mosquito Dunks retain their potency indefinitely when stored in a cool, dry place. Keep package sealed until ready to use.
