Cramer 40V Cordless Drill Replacement Battery 2000mAh 40V110

Description:

Cramer 40CS12 / 40CS15 Series 40V Li-ion Replacement Battery (40V110 / 40V220)

This is a 40V 2000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Cramer 40V cordless power tool platform. It fits the 40CS12, 40CS15, 40HD61, and 40LM35 series, along with six additional models in the same platform. Voltage and connector match the OEM spec no adapters needed.

• 40V platform compatibility: The 40CS12, 40CS15, 40HD61, and 40LM35 all share the same 40V battery rail, connector footprint, and BMS communication protocol. One pack covers the full tool lineup without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated motor-start inrush loads on a 40V platform tool. The BMS handled the trigger-pull current spike without tripping, and cell voltage recovery between pulls stayed within the expected window for a 2000mAh Li-ion pack.
• Motor-start conditioning on first use: Run the tool at half load lighter drilling or trimming work for the first two charge cycles before hitting maximum torque. This lets the BMS profile the inrush current draw from your specific motor before it locks in overcurrent protection thresholds.

BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush surge in 40V drills and saws

When you pull the trigger on a circular saw or hammer drill, the motor draws a short spike of current often three to five times the running draw. On a 2000mAh pack, the BMS overcurrent threshold is set tighter than on higher-capacity packs because the cells have less thermal headroom. If the pack shuts off the instant you pull the trigger, the BMS has tripped on that inrush spike. Let the pack sit for 60 seconds, then re-seat it firmly a loose rail contact increases apparent resistance and pushes the spike higher than the BMS expects.

Charger not recognising the new pack after storage

Li-ion cells discharge slowly during shipping and warehouse storage. If the cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V per cell, most Cramer chargers will reject the pack the charge LED blinks red and never transitions to charging. This is a charger acceptance threshold, not a dead battery. Connect the pack to the charger and leave it for up to 30 minutes some chargers trickle a recovery current before switching to full charge mode. If the charger still refuses after 30 minutes, check that the terminal pins on the battery and charger port are clean and fully making contact.
